Laaglaag sa Panay Island (Capiz, Aklan, Iloilo)

Thanks to Cebu Pacific's promotion last year, my husband (Jener) and I were able to visit three provinces in Panay. Well, Jener actually visited four provinces since he went to Guimaras Island (or the province of Guimaras) a day earlier.

La Paz Batchoy in Iloilo

When you’re in Iloilo and you wanted to try some local food and there's nothing more local than La Paz Batchoy. Seriously, I haven't tried eating batchoy in Manila but for the sake of 'experience', I tried one in our Iloilo trip. Read here about our Iloilo trip.

Batchoy according to Wikipedia is a noodle soup made with pork organs, crushed pork cracklings, shrimp, vegetables, chicken stock, chicken breast, beef loin and round noodles.
