Accommodations in Kalibo, Aklan

Here is the list of hotels/pension houses that we’ve personally checked out during our visit in Kalibo, Aklan. The first seven were the ones we’ve visited while walking around the town of Kalibo in the morning. They are arranged according to the one we’ve passed by first from the capitol building of Aklan. The last two were visited in the afternoon as we went to the town of New Washington and back. Sorry we forgot to take pictures of the other hotels, but we have scanned and posted here their brochures/price lists. Check them out!

Roxas City Pension House and a Taste of Capiz Seafood in Baybay Beach

After the tricycle ride that took only a few minutes, we reached the Roxas City Pension House. It is located near the Baybay Crossing. The location is not along the highway, making the place an ideal and quiet place to stay. There are a lot of pension houses near Baybay Beach but we chose Roxas City Pension House since it was among the cheapest.

Sinagtala Farm and Retreat Resort

My husband and I had a nice Sunday at Sinagtala Farm and Retreat Resort. Thanks to Groupon PH! I availed of the Groupon deal way back in June 2012 for a one-night stay good for 2 people at Sinagtala Farm and Retreat Resort. I got interested with it since it was a 50% off deal, from 2000php to 1000php. Also, I haven’t been to Bataan so it was a good reason to finally visit the historical province which is just 2-3 hour drive from Manila.

Tacloban City Accommodations

From the McArthur Landing Memorial Park, I rode a trysikad going back to the highway in Campetic Crossing. I paid 10php for the trysikad. At the crossing, I hailed a jeepney with ‘downtown’ signboard, told the driver to drop me off at Robinsons Mall and paid 8php. I planned to drop by the mall to look for a refrigerator magnet souvenir, and maybe have some coffee. I just needed my dose of black coffee at that time.
