Jacuzzi with View of the Hotel |
We attended a birthday party last February 18, 2012 in Guiguinto, Bulacan. The party was held in St. Agatha Resort so we enjoyed swimming and playing in the water while waiting for the celebrant since we arrived quite early around 8:00 AM.

St. Agatha Resort is located inside the St. Agatha Homes in Guiguinto. We left home from Sampaloc, Manila past 7:00 AM and arrived in the location after an hour. It was a fast drive going through NLEX. The place is really a convenient one for Metro Manila residents looking for a weekend gateaway that wouldn’t use up much of their time on the road.

The resort is at the back of St. Agatha Hotel, which is a two-story modern building and looking like posh European-like structure. When we arrived at the resort entrance, it really caught my attention how helpful the resort employees are. They didn’t hesitate to answer questions and brought our bags from the entrance to our cottage. This is in contrast to my previous experiences in other Bulacan resorts, where we have to carry by ourselves all our heavy bags and “baons”, with kids in tow. The second one that I like about St. Agatha Resort is its cleanliness. The place for me invokes clean and green. Different labeled garbage cans are everywhere, for plastics, for biodegradables and for non-biodegradables.

Lap Pool with View of the Zip Line |
St. Agatha Resort has one lap pool good for adults, one kiddie pool and one wave pool. Although the wave pool was not as big as the ones in other resorts, we really enjoyed our time since it was not so crowded. We went there one Saturday of February, so there was no summer crowd yet. They also have a small Jacuzzi which my husband really enjoyed.
Other facilities of the St. Agatha Resort include a small playground for kids, a zip line, a man-made creek where one could go boating or fishing, and a restaurant (Bistro Ambrosio).
Overall, with its ambiance and good service, I say St. Agatha Resort is one of the best that Bulacan could offer in terms of places to go for family, barkada or office outings. And I would want to go back there.
Visit St. Agatha Resort’s website for more information and rates.
